Loei is well-known as the ‘city of mountains’ and the ‘most chilled city in Thailand’. The famous sights include Phu Kradueng National Park, Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary, Phu Ruea, Phu Lom Loe, Phu Tok and Suan Hin Pha Ngam. Apart from the chilled weather and beautiful scenery, you can also experience the unique culture such as The Phi Ta Khon (Ghost Festival) and the famous temples such as Wat Phra That Si Song Rak, Wat Phre That Sajja, Wat Neramit Wipatsana and Wat Phon Chai. The Ghost Star Dance Festival Parade is a local tradition that showcases the rich culture of the people of Amphur Dansai at Loei Province, which has been passed down from their ancestors. The Festival is part of the Boonluang Ceremony, which is considered the largest merit-making ceremony in the locality.
