Sakon Nakhon Known at ‘Isan’s Dharma Swamp’, Sakon Nakhon is equipped with 5 temples with Buddha’s relics and three-thousand-year-old civilization. It is the birthplace and living place of many respectable monks of Thailand such as Phra Ajaan Mun Bhuridatta Mahathera, Phra Ajaan Fan Acharo, Phra Ajaan Wan Uttamo, Luangpu Lui Chantasaro and Luangpu Tess Tessrangsi. Pay merit at Phra That Choeng Chum, the town’s most respectable temple and witness the glass relics of Phra Ajaan Mun Bhuridatta Mahathera at Wat Pa Sutdhawas.
