Phra Tat Khamkaen

Phra Tat Khamkaen is one of the oldest and most significant stupas in history. It is situated in the Wat Jettiyaphoom Temple at Ampher Nampong, away from the town center along the Khon Kaen-Yang Talad Rd. The stupa is well-known among the locals as unifying point for the community. Its exact age is unknown.

Water is available year-round, particularly during the rainy season when the water brims beautifully along the banks. It also features artistic structures, such as sculptures that reflect the Isaan culture.
