The Origin of the Project “InLearnship ”


Nok Air has the policy in accepting interns for supporting, developing, and raising the qualities of educations in Thailand. Moreover, the company is pleased to offer the opportunities to university students from both Thailand and overseas in joining the “Inlearnship” project to encourage students to learn, obtain genuine working experiences, share knowledge, teamwork, and create good attitudes and new perspectives in working; as a result, the organisation’s image can be positively created. In addition, students will obtain the opportunities to develop their knowledge, capabilities, and knowing their genuine interests of working field which will be the initial point in establishing good and secured futures. For the students who achieve this internship program and have the outstanding capabilities; they may have the opportunities to work with the company after their graduations.

 

Objectives

 

  • To encourage, develop, and give and opportunities to Thai and overseas students in learning and joining “Inlearnship” program.
  • To allow the students to create the good attitudes and new perspectives in working
  • Students will have the opportunities to develop their knowledge, capabilities, and seek their genuine interests of working fields which will be the initial point in establishing good and secured future.
  • To create good relationships among students who are from different educational institutes and different study fields to help each other in the future.
  • To have more knowledge and understanding in Airline business.

Target Groups

 

  • Thai and overseas students who are studying in tertiary level or higher in both Thai and International programs from the educational institutes from Thailand and overseas.
  • Training program will be categorized as
    • Domestic students (Thai nationality) with all educational levels
    • internship period is 2-3 months (or more than specified months)
  • International students with undergraduate level
    • internship period is 3 months or more
  • International student with postgraduate level
    • Internship period is 5 months or more

Recruiting and sustaining process of the interns

 

Screen application forms > Deliver to specified department > Call for interview > Declare the interview’s results > Orientation > Interns’ monitors of each department > Appoint interns in the middle of internship period > Join “FAM Trip” Activity > Giving the presentation of internship > Evaluate after internship


The criteria of achieving internship process

 

  • Students must be trained at least 80 percent of total internship period. In addition, students must be evaluated by monitoring officers and the results will be concluded as “achieve” of “fail” internship.
  • The evaluation can be categorized into 2 cases:
    • Evaluation form of the original affiliation
    • Evaluation form of Nok Air
  • In the case of students who were assigned to be in charged in each project, the students are required to submit the conclusion of the projects to the origin affiliation and People department.

CEO Office (CEO)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting document of Nok air as well as High level tasks of PA office
  • Preparing and send document to another department
  • Answering the phone and coordinate with another department
  • Be able to use English in communication

Information Technology (IT)

Job descriptions:

          Using technology for communication and data management via internet, computers, and electronic devices such as smart phone and tablets as well as programming. Develop software, applications build networks or cut out the hardest to deploy infrastructures for use in computer circuit structures.

 

Corporate Safety, Security and Quality (SSQ)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting Quality Safety Security and Environmental Program
  • Learning Quality Safety and Security scope of work and related regulatory authorities and regulations

Learning and Development (L&D)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting internal trainings
  • Coordinating with attendees
  • Preparing locations, equipment, and documents for the trainings
  • Providing the facilities for the speakers and attendees
  • Calculating and conclusion the evaluations
  • Keeping record of employee’s profiles
  • Coordinating with external organization trainings
  • To research for training topics and institutes
  • Collecting attendee’s profiles

Corporate Strategy & BD (CSBD)

Job descriptions:

          Responsible for monitoring the business situation of the businesses that Nok Air operates. by advising new directions through an assessment of agreement opportunities. analysis of project proposals, etc. This function also includes strategic initiatives for planning and development for the Group and facilitates its implementation.

 

People & Administration (PPA)

Job descriptions:

Compensation & Benefit

  • Supporting and separating internal, external document such as social security documents, labor, Provident fund
  • Checking candidate profile then record in system
  • Checking Over-Time compensation
  • Checking medical fee and send to bank

General Affairs 

  • Coordinating with hotel, Airlines agency, other airlines for reservation, price checking and ask detail
  • Contacting person who have VISA interview appointment, show up at Ministry of Labor, Immigration office
  • Preparing checking Visa requisition and Work Permit document
  • Learning how to use Radixx system which use for book flight for staff
  • Checking invoice, hotel confirm booking, fight booking, insurance, and visa

Recruit Management

  • Supporting and coordinating of activities for MOU, Come & Click Your Career with university
  • Coordinating Internal and External Department for Internship Program and provide Recruitment & Selection Process, Training onboarding Program, Reporting, Document, Databases and Welfares for trainees, etc.
  • Supporting with Internal Trainer about document, material, facilitator, and activities
  • Creating poster, power point, materials for PR Internship program,
  • To be admin monitor and Public Relations of Trainee to communicate overall via group Line, Facebook, social media for Internship program

Procurement (PCM)

Job descriptions:

          Procurement of vendors of goods and services as requested by the agency. Price comparison and price negotiations with sellers of goods and services including a summary of various procurement conditions.

 

Technical (TC)

Job descriptions:

  • Helping and coordination to collect databases and documents aircraft engineering
  • To support purchasing spare part of aircraft
  • Updating databases payment of aircraft maintenance
  • Helping annual budgeting and coordination internal department

Technical Department-Engineering & Planning (EP) 

  • Understanding Principles, Guidelines of Maintenance Engineering  
  • Supporting document Technical Engineering 
  • Studying on how to use various maintenance manuals such as AMM, SRM, FIM.
  • Practicing with engineers in the systems such as engine. Electrical system, statistics system, aircraft usage and equipment, etc.

Technical Department-Material Management (MM) 

  • Supporting in Maintenance Requisition
  • Publishing and send Maintenance Order as well as check the maintain material
  • Coordinating with another department

Technical Department-Maintenance (MT) 

  • Supporting Maintenance Quality Control document
  • Preparing location, equipment, and document for Maintenance course

Technical Department-Technical Quality (TQ) 

Job descriptions:

  • Helping and monitor air transportation systems and aircraft maintenance.
  • Communicating with the crew during the operation.
  • Studied Manual maintenance (AMM), Airplane Parts Catalog (AIPC), System Manual (SSM) and wiring the electrical cables guideline (WDM).

Accounting (EA)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting and coordinating in the preparation of documents, receipts, invoices.
  • Receiving a request and record the receipt / tax invoice.
  • Checking the accuracy of documents received from others department.
  • Store accounting documents systematically

Finance (FIN)

Job descriptions:

  • Collecting Pay In documents and documents about the bank for coordinate with the bank
  • Downloading Statement all of bank for record data about every statement of company’s account completely and correctly
  • Checking statement via POS of all station, Xerox tax invoice, contact with company’s partners for receiving cheque information, prepare billing documents of partners

Planning (PLN)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting and coordination with transportation service partners
  • Supporting using a reservation system or any Nok Air’s system  
  • Learning about using CRM system and communication, coordination with other departments (Making a purchase amount report of Nok air, setting up Flight route, Booking check)

Revenue & Pricing (RP)

Job descriptions:

  • Learning about basic knowledge in Pricing, Revenue Management for example abbreviations of each Flight Route and Fare Class
  • Analytic about pricing and promotion of competitor in additions updating any news
  • Following the news and information of competitor for example increase/ release the flight and follow any information that might be affect our Airline’s marketing

Digital Sales & Marketing (DSM)

Job descriptions:

          Support create Nok Air's web content page, search for information to support the decision making of the agency. provide images to be inspired to create a brochure for online marketing promotion. Search for content on the website. To improve the presentation, design, and development of various contents on the nokair.com website.

 

Thailand Sales (TS)

Job descriptions:

          Provide information on traveling with airline customers both about the price Terms and conditions for booking and providing reservation services Resolve issues with seat reservations Change of flight, date, time of travel and name change of travelers. For customers who travel in the form of a company organization.

 

 

International & Charter Research (INC)

Job descriptions:

          It is the airline's source of income from selling products or services. To expand flight routes and provide airline services in another channel

 

 

Corporate Sales & Ancillary (ANC)

Job descriptions:

  • To provide support on sales and marketing reports.
  • Gather and collect documents
  • To support and co-operate with the internal and external organizations
  • To launch marketing campaigns and create market surveys to make sales database

 

Flight Operations (FE)

Job descriptions:

          Support regarding safety and quality across all operating units. Liaise with various departments relevant to gather information to the head of department Participate in activities related to Safety and Quality/ Supervise, coordinate, and inspect. documents related to expenditure and budget accurately Control expenses within the budget set by the WA-F

 

Onboard Experience (OBE)

Job descriptions:

  • Preparing the document for cabin crew
  • Recording data that related regulations, evaluation, compliment
  • Recording internal, external document
  • Preparing document, equipment for staff or contact another department

Ground and Cargo Services (GSC)

Job descriptions:

  • Supporting the ground operation such as Check-in, Stamp –ID, Boarding Gate, Arrival
  • Educating the communication skills and understanding the service mind which including organization’s culture and problem-solving skill

Crew Planning and Movement (CPM)

Job descriptions:

  • Retrieving overnight crew pattern from merlot system and match with the hotel invoices
  • Crew swapping in merlot system but under inspection from crew movement officers
  • Assistance crew scheduling officers in assigning crew duties in merlot system
  • Preparing crew name lists each month for crew swapping roster
  • Supporting administration duties which are assigned by crew movement Manager or Crew Scheduling Managers

Operations Control Center (OPC)

Job descriptions:

  • Learning and compare CAAT and ICAO regulations with staff action
  • Observing Flight Dispatcher officers working and understand process of work
