First spot to visit Chiang Mai is Was Phra That Doi Suthep
09 November 2017 | Nok Air
First spot to visit Chiang Mai is Was Phra That Doi Suthep, the most sacred place in town. In winter, the hottest and most romantic spot is Doi Pui, packed with various kinds of blooming flowers and handmade stuffs from Mong people. The birch trees (Thai Sakura) also bloom at Khun Changkean Research and Training Centre. In the morning, either feel the chilled weather at Doi Ang Khang and Mon Jam or head up to Doi Inthanon National Park and feel the fresh air. Then going down to the city, pay the merits and appreciate the Lanna-styled paintings in such temples as Wat Phra Singh Woramahaviharn, Wat Chiang Man and Wat Phra That Doi Kham. In the evening, chill out at Nimmanhaemin Road, the road full of fun and happiness. Every weekend, ‘Chiang Mai Walking Street’ offers the choice for shopping: Saturday night at Wualai Saturday Night Market and Sunday night at Thapae Walking Street.
